Jacqueline "Jackie" Wells Jennings, 81, of Abilene passed away on March 20, 2017 in Abilene.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday March 25th at The Hamil Family Funeral Home at 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd, Abilene Texas. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday March 26th at the Coleman City Cemetery with Pastor Jim Ritter of the Hamby Baptist church officiating.

Jackie was born in Austin, TX to Little Berry Wells and Edna Mae Tittle on October 2, 1935.

She was raised in Coleman and after graduating high school she moved to Abilene.

Jackie was very active in the Abilene Zoo where she spent over 30 years as secretary and gift shop manager.

She developed a passion for flying and after earning her pilots license, she spent a lot of time flying her seaplane to many places.

Jackie was preceded in death by her husband J. R. Jennings and sister Jo Ann Hale.

Jackie is survived by her brother Bo Wells of Nemo, TX. Sister, Billie Marie Blake of Mesquite Texas and her son Kelse Robert Jennings of Rockport, TX and daughter Karen Denise Jennings of Abilene, TX, and grandson Keith Jennings of Austin, TX and granddaughter Megan Jennings of Austin, TX.

The family of Jackie Jennings wishes to extend our sincere thanks to her many dear friends and relatives for all of your support in her 12-year battle with cancer.
