Denise Louise Agard, 66, passed away March 18, 2017.
Services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines with visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. and the Celebration of Life at 6 p.m.
Denise was born June 17, 1950 in Sioux City, IA to Collette (Van Pelt) and Wilbert Agard. She grew up in Newton and the family later moved to Des Moines where Denise graduated from East High School.
She worked in various careers over the years but most recently as an Associate Librarian for the Saydel School District where the students frequently called her Grandma. She loved the position and felt it was her most rewarding career. She loved connecting with the kids and hearing their stories.
Denise had a creative, beautiful soul. She had a wicked sense of humor and truly enjoyed life. She loved to have fun and had mastered her own happiness and independence. She loved gardening, antiquing or junking as she called it, sewing and reading. She adored her four legged children, Baby and Rocky.
Her memory will be treasured by many.
