Played drums in with his mother, Janis, in the rockabilly band "Janis Martin & the EP Express." Married Debbie Hazelwood. Former member of the Halifax County Rescue Squad, the South Boston Volunteer Fire Company and the Cluster Springs Ruritan Club. Survived by his wife, daughter, mother, father, grandaughter, and a grandmother. Died suddenly in Richmond, Virginia, from a brain anuerysm. Preceded in death by his stepfather, Ken Parton, and grandfather, Lucas "Dutch" Martin. Wake held January 30th. Funeral officiated by Rev. Vance Midgett held January 31st.
