Mrs. Jacquelyn D. "Jackie" Huggins, age 72 of Macclenny, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017. A native of Jacksonville, Mrs. Huggins has lived in this area for more than thirty years. She was a hair stylist at Nina's Hair Salon for a time in the '80's and was a vocational specialist at NEFSH for over ten years. Mrs. Huggins loved cooking and baking, especially wedding cakes. A talented seamstress, she enjoyed making dresses and decorations for weddings. She also enjoyed going camping and fishing and attending church at Manntown Congregational Holiness Church in Glen St. Mary, where she was a member. Mrs. Huggins especially loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband: Bobby G. Huggins of Macclenny; sons: Roger (Leslie) Tomlinson of Tallahassee, R. J. Huggins of Macclenny, Alan (Vicky) Huggins of Jacksonville, and Barry (Lourel) Sapp of Fernandina; daughters: Tammy (Mikey) Ogburn of White Springs, Terri (Derrik) Stallings of Crawfordville, FL, Melissa (Mark) Malloy of Macclenny, Suzanne (Jimmy) White of Blackshear, GA, and Beth (Meredith) Rodgers of Jesup, GA; brothers: Billy (Elois) Crews and Jimmy Simmons, all of Macclenny; and sisters: Joan Bardin and Frances (Don) Galler, all of Jacksonville, and Carolyn (George) Hatcher of St. Augustine. Twenty five grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild also survives. She was preceded in death by her parents: Alton and Ruby Granger Williams; brother: Morris Crews; and sister: Lorraine Cale. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Manntown Congregational Holiness Church with Pastor David Hodges officiating. Burial will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
