After his service with U.S.M.C., Jim was the first truck driver the U.S.P.S. used to move the mails, formerly transported via railcar, from San Diego to Los Angeles, ushering in a new transportation method, Highway Contract Routing. He continued with Giese Trucking for over 50 years.
Devoted to his family, he is survived by his wife, sons and daughter, many grandkids and great-grandkids.
He will be long remembered by family and the hundreds he touched in the WWT (Wonderful World of Trucking).
