Henry was a locomotive engineer for the Tennessee Coal & Iron Railroad. From ancestry records, it looks like he may have had 2 wives, and Mattie Lou Taylor was the first one. On a death certificate from Spartanburg, South Carolina, there is another May Scott McWhirter with same birth and death date that shows he was also her husband.
