Sean was a 2014 graduate of Lone Jack High School, Lone Jack, Missouri. He enjoyed skiing, horseback riding, baseball and riding his tricycle. He had lived in Lone Jack and Garden City, Missouri before moving to Golden Years Care Services, Harrisonville, Missouri in 2015. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Paula and Mike Beruan, Garden City, Missouri; his father, Dean Gilbert, Cameron, Missouri; a brother, Daniel Gilbert, Independence, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Mary Duvall, Independence, Missouri; paternal grandfather, Lester Gilbert, Elmwood, Nebraska; other relatives and a host of friends.
