Pauline Cherry was born June 15, 1929 to Michael and Helen Mathews and passed away on Monday March 13, 2017. She married John E “Jack” Cherry on February 21, 1955. Although Pauline thought she was mainly known as Jack Cherry’s wife, she was so much more to her family and friends. She was feisty, sassy and loved to shop, especially for shoes and purses! She enjoyed sharing memories of her youth as well as cooking her favorite Greek dishes. Her love for her family was unconditional. In the summer, you could find her at Pimushe Resort in MN or in Illinois spending time with Mike and the family. The rest of the year she lived with Tim’s family on Ft Myers Beach where she spent lots of time with her grandkids and great grandchildren and occasionally snuck out for lunch with her youngest son, Jay. If you found a place in her heart, you became part of her family.

Pauline is survived by sons Mike (Karen) Cherry of Bourbonnais, IL, Tim (Beth) Cherry of Fort Myers Beach, FL and Jay (Cheryl) Cherry of Cape Coral, Fl.. Grandchildren John (Sarah) Cherry and Katie Cherry of Bourbonnais, Alexa, Kevin, Katelyn and Austin Cherry, Fort Myers Beach, Meghan (Gus), Alva. Great grandchildren Natalie and Joshua, Bourbonnais and Khloe and Oliver of Alva. In addition to her husband and parents she preceded in death by her sister Tina Callas and brother Peter Mathews and grandchildren Joseph Cherry and Abbegayle Cherry.

Viewing will be held Friday March 17th at 10 am with mass at 11:00 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church 8210 Cypress Lake Dr, Fort Myers, FL 33919
