Gerald was a resident of Pittsburg. After a long and brave battle with cancer, Jerry was ready to go home peacefully to Jesus. He was a man of strong and deep faith, a man of few words but a big love for his family and friends.Jerry was everywhere always quietly there helping when needed. A founding member of Good Shepherd Church where he worked on so many committees and projects. He was a Cursillista and worked on many retreats. He was also a member of the Elks and the Historical Society.
Jerry's passions were golfing with his buddies, his Saturday morning breakfasts, the 49ers, jazz and a good scotch.
He leaves behind Judy, his wife of 49 years, his daughter Karen (Jim), his son Tom (Jennifer) and his so treasured grandchildren: Austin, Evan and Emma Howe. Also his sister Jeannette Boyd and Judy's brother Ron and his wife Arlene Fasola.
A pipefitter/steel worker who lived a life of hard work but was always surrounded by family and friends. Jerry was a contented and peaceful man who is now enjoying his new life with Jesus.
