Funeral services for Mr. Shannon Edens Wright, 84, of Louisiana, Missouri will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 21st at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Randall Cone will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 a. m. until time of services at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Indian Creek Cemetery at New Hartford, Missouri.
Mr. Wright passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the home of his son, Daryl in Columbia, Missouri. Shannon was born June 4, 1925 in New Hartford, Missouri to Edgar Chester Wright and Laura Luella Edens Wright.
He is survived by a son, Daryl Linn Wright of Columbia, Missouri, Four grandchildren, Brannon James, Willow James and Jennifer Wright all of Columbia, Missouri and Starr Skinner of Athens, Georgia and Eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Two sisters, Anna Margaret Wright who passed away in 1993 and Wanda Dudley and one brother, Lawrence Andrew Wright who passed away in 2001.
Shannon was a veteran serving with the United States Navy during World War II. He had been employed at Louisiana Furniture Store in Louisiana until his retirement in 1987
