Obituary

Ann Dewdrop Shields, 98, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 11, 1918, to George Washington and Lura Denson Bennett. She was the oldest member of East Booneville Baptist Church. She spent most of her life working in factories, including Quartet, but she is best known from when she worked as a waitress at Ree's Court. She enjoyed working in her yard, playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and laughing with her friends and family.

A celebration of life service will be 1:00 P.M Monday, March 20, 2017, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Holcomb and Bro. Steve Howell officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Williams; one son, Jesse K. (Martha) Shields; four grandchildren, Chuck (Traci) Williams, Kirk Williams, Jessica (Dave) Sheets and Holly (Tyler) Wilson; and three great-grandchildren, Derek Williams, David Williams, and Caleb Sheets.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ozelle Shields; her parents; four sisters; and five brothers.

Visitation will Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
