Brenda Claire DeGeorge, 70, of Gordonsville, died peacefully on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 5, 1946, in rural Terry, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Otto and Clara Melissa Cauthen.

Mrs. DeGeorge was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and a former nurse at UVA Crossroads Family Medicine, where she always brought a smile to her patients' faces.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Charles Hinrichs; two daughters, Melissa Megan Keim and Allison Michelle Patrizio; two sons, Keith Alan Anderson and William Robert Anderson Jr.; and several brothers and sisters in Louisiana. She was affectionately called "Mimi" by her eight grandchildren, Evan Michael Anderson, Kayla Beth Anderson, Catherine Claire Anderson, Lillian Claire Anderson, William JohnAnderson, Tyler Stephen Keim, Ashleigh Claire Keim, and Molly Claire Patrizio. She is also survived by her two beloved rescue dogs, Oliver and Buddy.

Funeral services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Caring For Creatures (www.caringforcreatures.com), 352 Sanctuary Lane, Palmyra, VA 22963.
