IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Dorothy Luella Pearce Prestwich, 94, of Lincoln, passed away March 4, 2006, at Idaho Falls Health & Rehab of natural causes.

She was born January 15, 1912, in Parker, Idaho, to Thomas Joseph Pearce and Harriet Amanda Loveland Pearce. When she was three years old the family moved to Dehlin, later moving to Iona. She attended school in Dehlin and Iona.

She married Osmer LeRoy Prestwich February 14, 1935, in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple May 27, 1955. She was a homemaker and mother and raised a family of eight children on her own after the death of her husband on February 12, 1954.

An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society, several times as secretary. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and gardening.

27 Grandchildren, 55 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Floyd and Doyle, two sisters, Elma Gray and Veda Nelson, and two brothers, Vernon Pearce and Melvin Pearce.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at the Idaho Falls LDS Lincoln 2nd Ward, 3700 East Lincoln Road, with Bishop Kent Gauchay officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and for one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the church.

Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
