“Ad Hardy, one of the best known and best liked conductors on the Milwaukee railroad, died at his home in Kansas City Sunday morning at 1:30 o’clock of a complication of ailments following a long illness.

The body was brought to Chillicothe Monday and the funeral was held from the Christian church Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock, Elder J.E. Pardonner and Rev. Frank Mapel conducting the services. Interment was made in Edgewood Cemetery.

The decedent is well remembered in Chillicothe. He came to Chillicothe with the Milwaukee railroad and made this city his home until the removal of the shops here to Laredo, when he was transferred to Kansas City where he had since resided. While a resident here, Mr. Hardy made many friends who were grieved at the announcement of his death. Mr. Hardy was 48 years old.

He is survived by the widow and four children, Mrs. Lorette Cornwell of Fayette, Ark., Miss Lilly, James and Charles, all of Kansas City.

Mr, Hardy was a member of the Masons, Maccabees and the Order of the Railroad Conductors. The funeral was held under the auspices of the Masonic order.” The Chillicothe Constitution, July 20, 1914
