Thomas Williams Dies

The Rev. Thomas Williams, former pastor of the Cottonwood Friends Church, died today in Macedon, N.Y.

The body will be brought to Emporia for funeral services and burial. Arrangements will be announced later.

Mr. Williams was born Sept, 13, 1869, in Leavenworth County, a son of the late Isaac and Rachel Atkinson Williams. He married Fannie Stephens in the Fruitland Community near Americus. She died in 1940. Mr. Williams later remarried, and he is survived by his wife, and three sons, Bevin, of Glens Fall, N.Y,; Howard, of Huntsville, Ark., and Randall, who lives in Florida. Two Emporia nieces are Mrs. Florence Smith, 621 East Twelfth Ave., and Mrs. J.A. Allen, 815 Woodland.

Williams Service Monday

Funeral services for the Rev. Thomas Williams, former pastor of the Cottonwood Friends Church, who died Thursday i Macedon, N.Y., will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the First Friends Church, Emporia. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Fred Littlefield, pastor of the church. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery. The casket will be open at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel Monday until time for the funeral.
