They lived in Galesburg, Illinois where Emmett was a Burlington Railroad brakeman for many decades. Her widowed mother lived with them until her death Amy was a nurse in 1920.
They moved to Arizona in 1966 from Galenburg.
She was a member of the United Church of Sun City, the Ike Band Club, Chaparral Chaplet Questers and past president of the American Federation of Women's Clubs.
Survivors included her husband, Emmett; daughters, Betty Shepherd and Helen Weterbee; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
