MIDDLESBORO — Anthony "Unc" Black, 56, of Middlesboro, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 22, 1960 in Columbia, Tennessee, the son of the late William Eugene and Sadie Mae Stockard Black.
Anthony was a loving father and grandfather, beloved husband, devoted Christian and a great friend. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Richard Evans.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Tennyson and Rev. Jeff Kersey presiding. Graveside services will be private at the Evans Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Strunk, Jake Napier, Donald Shepard, John Bingham, John Sturgill and Jerry Hensley.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Green Hills Funeral Home. Green Hills Funeral Home, Middlesboro, is in charge of all arrangements.
