She was born to George and Marie Portlas on Feb. 15, 1931, in Hibbing.
She graduated from Hibbing High School and received a degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota in 1952.
She is survived by daughter-in-law, Connie Portlas; grandchildren: Zoe, Sophia and Alexander of Minnetonka, Minn.; step-grandchildren, Rachael Eide (Henry Paravecino) of Mound, Minn., and Matthew Eide of Washington, D.C.; and great-grandchildren, Haden and Liliana; brother-in-law, Harry L. Johnson; and wife, Sheree of St. Louis Park, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elaine Johnson; nephew, George Johnson; and most recently on Dec. 10, 2013, her son, Peter W. Portlas.
Funeral: Services to be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at Washburn McReavey in Hopkins, Minn. 1400 Mainstreet, Hopkins, MN 55343, 952-983-9020.
