THOMSON Donald Murdoch
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father. Don was born in Vancouver on August 26, 1913 and passed away peacefully February 1, 2003 at St. Vincent's Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Muriel Nelson Aitken b.10 Oct 1914 Chinook, Alberta, Canada d/o Andrew Aitken & Mary Janet Murray, daughter, Marnie, son, Jim (Jane) and grandchildren, Heather and Andrew. He was preceded by; his father, J.B. Thomson, mother, Marion, sister, Margaret and brother, Jim. Don was an enthusiastic gardener and woodworker. He loved nature was never happier than when he was fishing at his Qualicum Beach Cottage or racing his Star class sailboat, Aleta, at the Kitsilano Yacht Club. A private memorial service is planned.
