Services will be on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Popular Springs CME Church.
Visitation will be today 2 until 6 p.m. at Grayson Porter Mortuary. Burial will follow at Church Cemetery.

Home Jones Jr, known as the "Big Jr" by his nieces and nephews was the 5th child born into the union of Homer Lee Jones Sr and Jessie Lee Coker in Popular Springs, Shannon.
He graduated from Sim High School, in Nettleton, Mississippi. Later, graduated from IJC in Tupelo, Mississippi with his welding degree.
Mr. Homer Jones was a devoted, faithful member of Popular Springs CME Church were he served as Sunday School Superintendent for over twenty years, and served as the bus driver for over thirty years. He also served on the Stewart Board, trustee board, and brotherhood. He enjoyed leading in the men's choir, ball of fire, and in the young adult choir.
He was a former employer of Lenear Clothing and L.P Brand.
Mr. Jones was devoted to his family, fishing, hunting, cooking, playing baseball, and softball was his outlet.
Homer was a long-time resident of Lee County, Mississippi. He married Mildred Spears Jones on November 3, 1969 and into this union 3 children were born.
