Jenny Lineberger Buchanan, 76, of Gastonia, passed away March 17, 2017. She was born November 1, 1940, in Gastonia, the daughter of the late James Robert and Vera Cox Lineberger.
Jenny was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church where she was a former choir member and pre-school teacher. She was also a graduate of Gardner Webb University. She retired from RCB Centura Bank where she was a Customer Service Representative.
Jenny is survived by her son, Alan Scott Buchanan of Atlanta, GA, sister, Sarah Ingram and her husband, Jim, of Lexington, SC, brothers, Warren Lineberger and his wife, Jane, of Charlotte, NC and Joseph Lineberger and his wife, Betty, of Winston-Salem, NC, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Nathan Buchanan.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 19 from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at Parkwood Baptist Church, 1729 E. Garrison Blvd, Gastonia, NC. Her Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Jeff Long and Rev. Vernon Carver officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens, 1508 Charles Raper Jonas Hwy, Mt Holly, NC.
