Dorothy Marie Howe Schwartz, 69, died at 10:04 AM Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, in her Lafayette residence, following failing health for the past year. Born Oct. 4, 1930, at Romney, she was a 1948 graduate of Jefferson High School. She was married to Donald E. Schwartz on November 17, 1949, in Lafayette; he survives.
Mrs. Schwartz, a lifelong resident of Lafayette, was a member of Dayton United Methodist Church. She was a Tuesday Painter at the Lafayette Art Museum and enjoyed reading, yard work and art.
Surviving with her husband are a son, Jay (wife Mary) Schwartz of Lafayette; a daughter, Linda Schwartz of Otterbein; three granddaughters and a grandson.
