Helen Miller Hoffmann, 95, returned to her Heavenly Father February 24, 2017, surrounded by family.

She was born July 18, 1921, to Charles and Elisabeth (Bessie) Miller in Clear Creek, Utah. She is the youngest and only surviving of eleven children: Lavilo, Mary, Pearl, Thomas, Violet, Reta, Maude, Myrtle, baby Miller (stillborn) and Marie.

In 1939, she married Wendell H. Hoffmann. Their temple covenants were later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They built their dream home at 41st and Madison in South Ogden in 1948. They had six children who were the joy of her life. They were married 64 years when Wendell passed away in 2003.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her callings included teaching Sunday School, Primary and Young Women, a counselor in Primary, and Relief Society President. Helen worked at The Senate Cafe, as credit manager at Auerbachs, in the Ogden Temple cafeteria, and at DynaPro, a family owned herbal supplement company. Her daughter, Rowene, opened a restaurant and named it after her, Mom's Bakery. Helen was soon recognized for her delicious pies and pastries.

She traveled and cruised to many places throughout the world. Her interests included cooking, dancing, camping, family get-togethers and she was an avid Utah Jazz fan with parties in her home for every game. She enjoyed being part of the Red Hatters and she loved the Friendship Club, which she helped organize over 50 years ago.

Her children and their spouses are: Rowene (Kent) Weaver, Sandy Dymock, Marlin (Ilene) Hoffmann, Rod (Jolene) Hoffmann, Gary Hoffmann and Tammy (Mike) Tantilla and Janet Hoffmann. She has 25 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
