Anna Nussbaum born 4-14-1837 in Cras des-Pois (Erbsrein), Moutier, Canton Bern, Switzerland. (Husband to be)Christian was born November 20, 1839, in Bellelay, Mountier, Canton Bern, Switzerland.

In June 18, 1846 Anna moved from Switzerland to Sonnenberg, Wayne County, Ohio, with her family and to French township in Adams County on October 21,1852.

Christian came later with his parents on July 4th 1854 to Sonneberg, Wayne County, Ohio and to Adams County on August 16, 1854.

She married Christian U. Amstutz on May 23, 1861, in the home of his parents by Peter S Lehman (in Adams County, IN). They made their home in Wabash Township (the south side of Berne, IN)

They were members of the Neuenschwander Church which joined the Amish Church.
