Robert Carl Poe, age 69, of Rodburn Hollow Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017, at his residence.

Born October 7, 1947, in Magoffin County, he was a son of the late Garland and Ora Fintress Poe. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, William Carl Poe; one brother, Chester Poe; and one granddaughter, Stephanie Blanton.

He is survived by two sons, Robert "Mickey" Poe of Salyersville and Todd Poe of Indiana; four daughters, Kathy Poe Cooper of Danville, Alabama, Donna Russell and Rosie Gullett, both of Salyersville, and Alice Stephens of London; seven grandchildren, Bobby C. Blanton, Jessica Morrison, Ryan Russell, Courtney Howard, Cody Salyer, Karlie Howard, and Bradley Poe; and special companion, Cathy O'Connor of Morehead.

Also surviving are two brothers, James Poe of Salyersville and Lawrence Poe of Ohio; five sisters, Dovie Shockley of Nicholasville, Mary Poe of Ohio, Della Auxier and Judy Hammond, both of Salyersville, and Audrey Tucker of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was a farmer and enjoyed playing his guitar, watching Western movies and U.K. basketball, playing horseshoes, and telling great stories for the entertainment of others.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
