Carmen Richard (Herm) Campbell passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, March 13, 2017. He was born on July 27, 1933 to Frank William and Virginia Laura (Early) Campbell. He married Dorothy M. Grover in 1952 and they had 64 wonderful years of married life. She survives.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday March 19, 2017 in the Buffalo Cemetery in Louisiana.

He is also survived by two daughters Sherry Comer (Ron) and Joyce Moss (Roger) of Bowling Green; grandchildren Mason Shinn of Bowling Green, Bobbi Shinn (Bud Lindsay) of Louisiana, Lisa Crenshaw (James) of Troy and James Comer (Erin) of Bowling Green; great grandchildren Beau Lindsay of Louisiana, Bryan and Brenon Crenshaw of Troy, Josh Lewis of Frankford, Hayden, Miranda, and Landon Comer of Bowling Green; sister Ann Dames of St. Louis; brother-in-laws Paul Grover (Gena) of Barnwell, SC, Jerry Grover of Clarksville and Gary Grover of Louisiana; sister-in-laws Phyllis LaBrier (Richard) of Bowling Green, Janet Elliott and Rosanne Grover of Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Laura Roberts; brother Oscar Campbell; granddaughter Elizabeth Shinn; brother-in-law’s Donald Grover (Margaret), Bob Grover, Rick Grover; and two nephews Joe Schussell and Bill Campbell.

Mr. Campbell was an army veteran and was stationed in Tacoma, Washington during the Korean War. He went to work at McDonald Aircraft in ST. Louis after his stint in the army and retired from there after 40 years of service. He was extremely active and loved spending quality time with his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, flea markets and traveling. He especially enjoyed vacations with his wife and family which included Canada, Hawaii, England, South Carolina and the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama.
