Parents- Wallace E. & Bertha Louise (Crouse) Woodman

She was one of 10 siblings born to her parents

She grew up on the Sunnybrook (potato) Seed Farm in Aroostook County, Maine.

Graduated from Washburn High School and attended Katharine Gibbs School in Boston, Massachusetts.

Married Merritt Lewis Thomas, who was part-owner of Thomas Dairy, on May 3, 1947 in Rutland Town. They were the parents of seven children

She was a librarian at Dana School and Northeast School in Rutland City and on the staff of the Rutland Free Library for several years. She was a volunteer at the Rutland Regional Medical Center for over 20 years. She was a 50-year member of Grace Congregational United Church of Christ.

Survived by her seven children and their families; grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister and a brother; many nieces and nephews; and her lifelong friend and companion in her last years

Predeceased by her husband, Merritt Thomas, in January of 2000.
