ASHWORTH, Alan Dale, 62, of Henrico, Va., went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Albert and Velma Ashworth; first wife, Sandra Gayle Ashworth; and brother, Doyle Ashworth. He is survived by his wife, Teresa A. Ashworth; son, A. Dale Ashworth; grandson, Christian Stanley; children by marriage, daughter, Jennifer Johnson (Emann); and sons, Christopher (Kimberly), Scott (Shannon) and Michael Adee; daughter-in-law, Wanda Adee; grandsons, Michael and Andrew Johnson and William Adee; brother, A. Neal Ashworth; nephews, Neal Ashworth Jr. (Christi), Matthew Ashworth (Jennifer); and niece, Rebecca Ashworth-Patterson (Damon); mother and father-in-law, Ann and Gordon Richter; and several other family members.Alan was born and raised in Houston, TX. He moved to Henrico, Va., in 1999. He retired from Nabisco after 37 years of service, working for both, the Houston TX and the Richmond, VA Nabiscos. Alan was a devoted Christian, a certified millwright, and a senior demolay, with the Park Place Mason Lodge, in Houston, TX. He was a true Texan at heart and proud of his Irish heritage. He was a gentleman who loved his family, friends and dachshunds. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to Hotdog Hill Santuary, checks may be mailed to Sycamore Vet Hospital, 13217 Midlothian Tpk., Midlothian, Va. 23113 and/or to Soul Harvest Church, 2300 National Street, Henrico, VA 23231.
