Grace was a graduate of Mississinewa High School and was a cook with the Mississinewa Community Schools system. She was a member of Fairmount Church of God and enjoyed spending time with her church family. Grace was involved with her church in many capacities, but especially served as pianist and organist.
Serving and being with her family was a priority for Grace. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, and crocheting. She also loved to watch birds, especially hummingbirds, and squirrels. She had named a particular squirrel "Skippy" and looked forward to seeing him come to the house.
Survivors are her children, David Randall Ford, Fairmount, and Gail Ann Ford, Jonesboro; daughter-in-law, Paulette Ford, Warsaw; step-grandchildren, Tracy (Woody) Layne, Pierceton, Tresa Ford, Pierceton, and Trisha (Andy) Bills, Columbia City; step-great-grandchildren, Shelby Layne, Brooks Smith, Chenee Gaff, Kate-Lynn Gaff, Elle Bills, Carter Bills, and Kloee Bills; and sisters, Shirley (Dwight) Pollen, Fairmount, and Mary Catherine King, Jonesboro.
In addition to her parents and loving husband of 55 years, David, she was preceded in death by sisters, Martha Mitchner and Betty Cassidy.
Visitation is from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City.
Services for Grace are at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastors Bill Cornell and Lorraine Hackett officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
