Agnes T. Altmire Beale, 91, of Lower Burrell died at 7:55 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 10, 2004) at Belair Health and Rehabilitation Center, Lower Burrell.

She was born April 20, 1912, in Idamore.

A telephone operator, she once worked for North Pittsburgh Telephone.

Mrs. Beale was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Apollo.

She enjoyed doing crafts and crocheting.

Survivors include a son, William M. Altmire of Apollo; two daughters, Mrs. Dolores (Homer) Crissman of Apollo and Arlene Altmire of Lower Burrell; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William P. Altmire; her second husband, Howard Beale, in 2000; a son, Louis Altmire; her parents, Martin and Mary Fredrick Novitski; seven brothers; and four sisters.

Family and friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., Freeport, where a parish wake service is set for 8:30 p.m. Monday. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church, Freeport, with the Rev. Thomas Federline officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
