Joseph T Casey
Joseph T Casey, 94, of 817 Edgewood Drive, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital where he had been a patient since May 21, 1961. Born in Baltimore, he was a son of the late Abraham and Elizabeth Ann (Plummer) Casey. His wife, Margaret Hinkle, preceded him in death. He was the last surviving member of his family. Mr Casey was a retired chief engineer for Sinclair Oil Company. He began work in the oil industry in 1893 in Missouri. He has resided in Cumberland since his retirement 20 years ago. He is a member of Emmanuel Epicopal Church; Ohr Lodge 131 AF & AM; LaPlata Lodge 237 AF & AM LaPlata, Mo; Caldwell Chapter 53, RAM, Kirksville, Mo; Ely Commandry 22 Knights Templar, Kirksville and LaPlata Chapter 59 OES. He is survived by a niece, Mrs J Louis Pierce with whom he resided and a number of other nieces and nephews. The body is at the George Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. A service will be conducted there Sunday at 2 p.m. Rev H M Richardson, rector of Emmanuel Episcopal will officiate and interment will be in St George Episcopal Cemetery, Mt Savage. Ohr Lodge will hold a memorial service at the funeral home today at 7:30 p.m.
