Clarence 'Bobby' Stewart, 89, of Heaters, WV passed away on Friday March 10, 2017, peacefully in his sleep with loved ones by his side. Bobby was born August 7, 1927 to the late JC 'Davy' Stewart and Artie Tonkin Stewart in Akron, OH.

Bobby is survived by several cousins; close friends/loved ones Heather and Mike Williams, Diane Weakley and his beloved dog 'Harvey'.

Bobby was a member of the US Army serving his country in WW II. He first retired as an accountant for Viscose and then moved back home to Heaters, WV to take care of his family. He took over the mail route from his father and worked for the Post Office from 1992-2015. In January of 2016 he moved to Harrisonburg, VA to be close to loved ones.

Bobby was the Treasurer and volunteered at the Flatwoods-Heaters Lions Club; he enjoyed reading, spending time with family and had a passion for animals and gardening. At any given time you could stop by and find Bobby out tinkering in his garden with Harvey. He was a kind soul with the most contagious smile that would brighten anyone's day.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 11-1 pm at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621. The Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wilma Jackson officiating. Interment will be in the Tichnel Cemetery with Full Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post 33.
