Geneva Louise Clark, 92, of Texhoma, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri. She was born the daughter of Everett C. Burns and Grace E. (Crone) Burns on October 29, 1924 in the James Community.


Geneva was united in marriage to Irvin Everett Clark on September 5, 1940 in the James Community. They lived most of their lives in the community farming and ranching and later vacationed at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Geneva was a homemaker, a member of the Busy Matrons Club, and a member of the James Church of God.


Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Goebel; one granddaughter, infant daughter of Eletha; one great step-grandson, Austin; two sisters, Erma Thrasher and Marion Thrasher, two brothers, Earl and E.C. Burns.


Survivors include her husband, Irvin; two daughters, Eletha Clark of Arcadia, Oklahoma, and Debbie Martin and husband Mark of Holt, Missouri; one son, Taylor and wife Stephannie of Texhoma; brother Melvin Burns and wife Barbara; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held Monday, March 20, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church, Texhoma, with Pastor Chris Hedges officiating. Interment will be at the Baker Cemetery under the direction of Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon immediate following the service.


The Clark family request memorials be given to the First Christian Church Food Pantry or the charity of your choice. Memorials will be accepted at the church office located at 120 South 3rd Street, Texhoma, OK 73949 or the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P. O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
