Phillip Randal Reid, 48, of Meadowood Trail Martinsville, Va. transitioned on Monday, March 13, 2017 at his home. He was born in Martinsville, Va. on October 11, 1968 a son of Governor and Gwendolyn Turner Reid.
He was a member of Greater Love Ministries where he served on the Christian Education Department.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Brenda Stewart Reid, of the home; one daughter, Tierra Reid-Terry (Vincent), of Fairfax, Va.; one son, Taylor Holmes, of Alexandria, Va.; one sister, Theresa Reid, of Martinsville, Va.; maternal grandmother, Marie Turner, of Martinsville, Va.; one god-son, Charles Woodall, of Roxboro, N.C.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at noon at Greater Love Ministries, with Dr. Avery Preston, officiating. Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements entrusted to the care of Hines Funeral Services.
