MALVIN H. MORGAN JR
US Army Service Number 34431808 tail gunner was shot down on his 16th mission over Germany during WW2. Sergeant Morgan was captured and was a Prisoner of War in Stalag 17.

They hit such targets as the all important German ball bearing factory and the German occupied La Bourseau---------------- airport in Paris.
Their history is recorded in the movie "Combat America" made in Polebrook England, The American Air Museum in Britain, and TheNational Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force in Pooler GA just off I-95.
After the war Morgan became a private pilot and a truck driver and winner of the North Carolina Truck Driver's Rodeo. He later operated his own trucking company.
Our American military took on two of the best trained and best equipped armies in the world and beat them both.
