Mrs. Charlotte Ann Lottie Leader of Lacombe passed away suddenly on Thursday February 23, 1995 at the Senior Citizens Lodge Lacombe at the age of 89 years. Born near Olds Alberta on March 27, 1906, Lottie was the 10th child in a family of 1 1 . She grew up on a farm near Munson, taking her elementary school there, later moving to Three Hills to live with her widowed father. In 1925 Lottie graduated from the Olds School of Agriculture, where she had met Sanford Leader. They were married in Three Hills in 1927, and farmed north of Joffre, retiring to Lacombe In 1963. She was a devoted mother, gardener and farm help mate. Lottie will be remembered as a caring neighbour and was active In the Jones Valley Ladles Aid, W.M.S., and St. Andrews United Church U.C.W. and the Four Point A.W.I. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Sanford, and her four married daughters Ann and Doug Laing of Cochrane, Ellen and Marvin Neumeister of North Delta B.C., Etta and Dean Chessor of Lacombe, Marie Frandsen of Usona. She is also survived by a brother Will of Kamloops B.C. Lottie was predeceased by 6 sisters and 3 brothers, and a son in law Eric Frandsen. She will be fondly remembered by 14 grand-children and 9 great grand children In whom she took great pride and joy. Funeral services will be held from St. Andrews United Church Lacombe on Tuesday, February 28, 1995 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Frank Lough and Rev. Dr. B.H. Thackeray officiating. Interment will follow in the Lacombe Falrvlew Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Bible Society 110 11 Avenue S.W. Calgary Alberta T2R 0B8, or St. Andrew's United Church Memorial Fund. Wilson's Funeral Chapel Lacombe and Rlmbey in charge of the arrangements Phone 782-3366.
