Princeton, Ky--- Eight days after an accident, the rider of a motorcycle that crashed two miles east of Princeton, died of injuries he suffered in the July 8, 2004, crash.
Pronounced dead at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., was Terry Shane Boyd, 26, of Princeton.
According to a Kentucky State Police news release, Boyd failed to negotiate a curve on his 1993 Yamaha motorcycle. The bike he was riding left the right side of the road, traveled through a ditch, struck an embankment and flipped several times. Boyd was thrown from the motorcycle.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Boyd was sent by helicopter ambulance to Vanderbilt from the Caldwell County Hospital.

Services for Terry Shane Boyd, 26, Princeton will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Morgan's Funeral Home, with the Rev A.B. Ortt officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairview Church Cemetery.

He was born June 22, 1978 and was the son of Vickie McPherson Boyd,Princeton and the late Terry Randell Boyd.
He was a mechanic.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Michelle Baker; a step-daughter, Miranda Driver; a brother, Rowdy McCoy, Princeton; a sister, Penny Clark, Princeton; a maternal grandmother, Beatrice McPherson, Princeton and a paternal grandfather, Deward Boyd, Princeton.
