In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her son, Terry “Monkey” Hunt; four sisters, Eleanora Hunt Miles, Eula Mae Morris, Florence Walters, Halley Dale Demery; and two brothers, J.B. “Top” Hunt and Richard “Dick” Hunt.
Mrs. Hunt retired from Campbell Soup where she worked as a Mechanical Operator. She enjoyed working in her yard and tending her flowers as well as bargaining at the Flea market.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday at Benson Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Reedy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Hunt leaves to cherish her memories her beloved husband of 52 years, Jerry Hunt; her daughter, Lisa Burchette and husband Timothy of Whiteville, NC; her son, Gary “Bit” Hunt and wife Carmela “Terri” of Lumberton, NC; a brother, Willie Dale Dial of Pembroke, NC; a sister, Elizabeth Hunt of Lumberton, NC; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a host of beloved friends.
