Leslie P. Goodwin, 89, of Decatur passed away at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2008, in his residence.
Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008, in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m. Saturday morning at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion.
Leslie was born January 22, 1919, in Montgomery County, MO, the son of Clyde and Eva Hill Goodwin. He married Nancy Jean Tucker on August 21, 1947, in Taylorville, IL. He was retired from Field and Shorb Company. He was a World War II Army Veteran, a member of the Antioch Christian Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge #467 and the Teamsters Local #279.
Surviving is his wife Jean of Decatur, daughter: Bonnie Jo Fiesler and her husband Tim of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughters: Melissa and Melinda Fiesler; brother, Russell Goodwin and wife Mary of Decatur; siter-in-law, Kathy Goodwin of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Mary Bartello and Evelyn Ballinger, and brothers, Wayne and Billy Goodwin.
