Katherine Pierson Hubbard, born July 14, 1920, in West Orange, NJ and resident of Woodbridge since the age of 12, died peacefully at home Wednesday afternoon, August 20, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty years, Winchester L. Hubbard with whom she shared a great love of the out-of-doors, nature study and especially bird watching. She is survived by her four children; Jonathan (Judy), Christopher (Noel), Paul (Cathy) and Elizabeth Grimes (Dennis), ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She worked for several years following her 1942 graduation from Mt. Holyoke College, served for many years on the Woodbridge Inland Wetland Commission and was active for even longer as a member of the ladies aid of the First Church of Christ, Woodbridge where a memorial service is planned for September 6 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First Church of Christ Woodbridge, Woodbridge Park Association
