Dorothy E. Conklin of West Haverstraw passed away on October 24, 2002, at the Dr. R.L. Yeager Health Complex. She was 83. Born on July 6, 1919 in Spring Valley to the late Ernst and Mary Heitman Hagedorn, Dorothy was the former owner of Hagadorn's Confectionary Shop in Suffern. A member of the Oddfellows Women's Auxiliary - the Rebeccas. She was the widow of Griswold Conklin, who passed away in 1984. Survivors include her loving children, Sandra and her husband Anthony Dostal, and Marilyn and her husband Peter Leahy; eight cherished grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday, October 26, 2002 from 10:30 - 11:30 AM at Wanamaker & Carlough, 177 Rt. 59, Suffern, NY. Her Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. Reverend Jack Branford will be officiating. Burial to follow in the family plot in Brick Church Cemetery.
