Julia was the daughter of the late Rayond Robert and Ona Mae Burnes. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Elbert Burnes. She was a member of the Spring Dale, WV Church of Christ. She retired from the Fayette County Board of Education where she loved serving the children of Danese, WV Elementary. She was a loving caregiver to several close family members throughout her life. She faithfully stood beside her husband as he served in the US Air Force and instilled the love of country into her family. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Emery McGuire, and her four children.
