Leanna M. (Jackson) Hughes, 78, died March 1990, at New Britain General Hospital, New Britain, Conn.
She was born at St. Francis, Maine, Dec. 1, 19??, the daughter of Aaron and Melissa (Thibodeau) Jackson. She was the wife of the late Norman L. Hughes. She was a member of the AARP, the Newington Senior citizens, had been a Newington resident the past 25 years.
She is survived by four sons, Gordon Hughes of Southington, Conn., Keith Hughes and Merrill Hughes, both of Newington, Fernald Hughes of Eldorado, KA; three daughters, Velva Kelly of Allagash, Maine, Vina Odelius of Twin Mountains, NH., and Sharon Riley, of New Britain; six brothers Roland and Louis Jackson, both of Allagash, Romeo Jackson, and Maynard Jackson, both of St. Francis, Vincent Jackson of Fort Fairfield, ME, Percy of Caribou, ME; five sisters Elizabeth Kelly and Irene McBreairty both of Allagash, Annie Martin of Presque Isle, Verna Hughes of Watertonw, Conn., and Jeannette Dodd of Chester, Conn., 23 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Fred Jackson and Aaron Jackson.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home Bonnair Ave. Newington, with burial in Center Cemetery.
