She was born in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Walter Reginald Taylor and Lona Louise Harkey Taylor.
In 1960 she graduated from Treadwell High School then later retired from Eco Lab. She was a member of Briarwood Community Church. She loved her dog "Jake", trips to New York and spending time with her knitting group.
Mrs. Guthrie was preceded in death by her husband, William "Brad" Guthrie, Sr., and her son, William "Bill" Guthrie, Jr.
Her survivors include her son, Tracey Eugene Guthrie of Fayette County, daughter, Tonya Louise Wright of Bartlett, Tennessee and her 4 legged child Jake; one granddaughter, Heather Louise Wright DVM of Cordova, Tennessee; three grandsons, Bradley Eugene Guthrie of Oakland, Tennessee, William Bradford Guthrie III of Fayette County, Jonathan Blake Dawson of Chattanooga, Tennessee; two great grandsons, Bryson Eugene Guthrie of Oakland, Brooks Abel Guthrie of Oakland; and one great granddaughter, Lola Chrisann Guthrie of Fayette County.
Family will receive guest Monday, March 20th at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue from 12 to 2 pm. Service will begin at 2 pm with burial to follow in Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road.
