Brenda Watters Goodson, 76, of Newton passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
She was born September 17, 1940 in Catawba County to the late Donald and Rosalee Goble Watters. Brenda was a member of Abernathy Memorial United Methodist Church in Newton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Billy E. Goodson

Daughter: Angela R. Goodson of Clemmons
Sister: Joann W. Clarke of Sherrills Ford
Grandchildren: Eric L. Goodson and Connor G. Goodson
A service to celebrate Brenda’s life will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church in Newton. Rev. Angela Hollar will officiate. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church. Those serving as pallbearers are; Jeff Hollar, Jeffrey Hollar, Todd Clarke, Brian Leatherman, Robert J. Clarke, Jr. and Eric L. Goodson.
