Obituary of Calvin Turner
Calvin Turner, age 70, passed away on March 11, 2017. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the service. The Funeral Service, conducted by Reverend Ted Bane and David Gilliam, is 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home. Interment in Drury Cemetery, Lafayette TN, will follow the service.
Mr. Turner was a long-time member of the Presbyterian faith. He served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam conflict. He studied law at the University of Memphis, Humphries School of Law at Memphis TN. He was formerly City Attorney of Lebanon and a City Judge at Mt. Juliet. After retirement, he received his license to auctioneer from Reppert School of Auctioneering and worked for Jim Stevens Realty and Auction Company. He then began his own auctioneering company, known as Professional Auction Group.
Mr. Turner is survived by wife Joyce Ragland Turner, children Matthew Turner (Stacia), Nathan Turner, and Allison Cox (Andy), grandchildren Maddie Jo Cox and Maverick Cox, and siblings Bill Turner, Jerry Turner, Kathy Price, Mark Turner, Janet Turner, and Joe Turner. He is preceded in death by parents Porter and Nancy Pruitt Turner. Arrangements by Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN
