Ruth Maxine Adams Gibbs went home to Heaven on March 12, 2017. She was a beautiful Christian lady that loved the Lord. She was born August 15, 1930 in Bergoo and was the daughter of the late Ralph “Sox” and Phelma Blake Adams. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Ralph, Edgel and Howard Adams and a sister Margie Barry.

She leaves behind three daughters, Carrie (Keith) Williams of Camden on Gauley, Joyce (Tommy) Bragg of Cowen and Jane Spence of Jumping Branch; grandchildren, Robby (Kim) Bragg, Todd (Tiffany) Bragg, Tara (Dan) Hartley, Paula (Terry) Armstrong, Chris (Brandi) Brinson, Mandy (Robert) McLaughlin, and Brandon Brinson; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, June Whitney and Irene Addington; sisters in law, Rose Adams, Dora Adams and Helen Huddleston.

Service will be 1:00 PM, Thursday March 16 at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen with Rev. Cofer Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at West Virginia Memorial Gardens. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Special thanks to the staff at River Oaks Nursing Home in Clarksburg, Dr. James Malone and Amedysis Hospice Care for the care they gave Mom.
