Age 49 Ended his life on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 after a long hard battle with depression. Joel is survived by his children, Adam and Samantha and their mother Tonya Marthaler; parents Robert and DonaRae; brothers Todd, Peter, Ned (Diane); sister Heidi; and nieces Hannah and Madison. Joel found great comfort in Romans 8:38-39.."we can do nothing that will separate us from the Love of God". Joel is now at peace and smiling down from Heaven. A Visitation (4:00PM) and Memorial Service (5:00PM) will take place at Central Lutheran Church in Elk River with a meal immediately following on SUNDAY, (TODAY), March 12. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Association for Mental Illness.
