Raymond James Page, Sr., 71, of Roanoke, passed away on Friday, March 10, in his home with his family at his side. Ray was born in Salem, Mass. on Nov. 5, 1945 to Raymond Page and Emma Straughn Page. Ray was the loving husband of Diane, the best dad “Pops” to his children and to many other close friends. He was always a hard worker who shared his talents fixing things and his computer skills with anyone who asked. For the past 10 years Ray has been a dedicated employee at The Rescue Mission.



In addition to his parents Ray was preceded in death by his sister, Carolina Yandell. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Diane Page; his children, Faith Weedling and husband Steve of Marshall, Va., Deniese Browning of Ocala, Fl, Christine Fedak of Stratford, Ct., Elizabeth Murcko of Milford, Ct., Heather Page of Hamden, Ct., Raymond Page Jr. of Meriden, Ct., a brother, Robert Page and wife Janice, 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and nieces and nephews.



The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for their care of our Pops in his last days.



A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Oak Grove Church of the Brethren with Rev. Tim Harvey and Rev. Steve Weedling officiating. Family requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to The Rescue Mission, 402 4th St. SE, Roanoke, VA 24013 or Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Rd., Roanoke, VA 24018.
