Jeffrey James “Jeff” Cox, 60, passed away on March 12, 2017 at his home in Midlothian.

Services for Jeff will be on Thursday, March 16th at 1:00 p.m. at Midlothian First Baptist Church, Midlothian, Tx.

Visitation will be at the church, prior to the service, from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m.

Jeff was born to James Walton and Gloria Sue Stallings Cox, on August 27, 1956 in Evansville, IN.
After moving to Texas as a child, he was involved in many activities, and was an eagle scout. After high school graduation, Jeff studied Electrical Engineering with Auburn University, earning a bachelor’s degree. He then served in the U. S. Navy for 6 years as a Naval Aviator and went on to work as a Flight Crew Captain with Delta Air Lines for 5 ½ years. Jeff later worked for Lockheed Martin as a systems engineer. He always had a passion for flying and motorcycles. Jeff was a very positive person and had a gift for making others smile. He never met a stranger had a way of getting to know everyone around him. He always had a host of friends and throughout his life everyone who knew him grew to love him. He was very involved in Midlothian Baptist Church, loved Mexican food and, of course, his dog, Molly. He was a fighter and remained positive and committed to being a positive influence on others.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, James W. Cox.

Jeff is survived by his mother, Gloria Cox; daughters Kaylee Cox and Katherine Cox and their mother, Tammy Cox; his favorite aunt, Carol Wildt; brothers, Craig, and wife Carrie Cox and their sons Connor and Carson; and sister, Devona, and husband Mike Shreve and their son, Brandon.
